Should a real estate agent website be in English and Spanish?

If a real share of your market speaks Spanish, yes, and build a real Spanish version rather than a translate button. Here is when it pays off and how to do it well.

The same agent website in English and in Spanish side by side, with a language switch

Este artículo está disponible solo en inglés.

Short answer: Yes, if a real share of the people you serve speak Spanish, as in much of Florida, Texas, California and the Southwest. Build a proper Spanish version with its own pages and wording, not a translate button: Google indexes it, Spanish-speaking clients trust it, and very few competing agents have one.

Why it pays off

  • Less competition: far fewer agent sites are in Spanish, so you're easier to find.
  • Trust: a client who can read everything in their language is more likely to call.
  • Search: Google shows Spanish pages to people searching in Spanish. A translate widget produces nothing for Google to index.

How to do it well

  • Separate pages per language, linked to each other, each with its own title and description.
  • Natural wording, not word-for-word translation. "Casas en venta en Doral" is how people search.
  • A language switch at the top of every page.
  • Contact options that match: WhatsApp is often preferred over email.

When it isn't worth it

If you can't serve clients in Spanish yourself or through your team, a Spanish site sets expectations you can't meet.

Every Swift Agent Sites site can be built in English, Spanish, or both.
