Listing Lookout
Listing Lookout privacy policy
Effective October 29, 2026; updated November 4, 2026. Listing Lookout is a Chrome extension made by Swift Agent Sites LLC (“we”). Questions: mail@swiftagentsites.com.
The short version
Listing Lookout has one purpose: to help you check a real estate listing before you buy or rent. It reads the listing page you have open, sends the few facts it needs to two services we run so they can answer the side panel, and shows you the answer. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and we do not sell or share anything it sends.
What the extension reads
On a home listing page on a site you have switched on (Zillow and Craigslist by default; Facebook Marketplace only if you turn on that beta and grant access), the extension reads what the page shows: the address or city and state, the price, the listing agent's name, license number and brokerage if shown, the description and the photo addresses.
On any other website, the extension reads nothing until you click the Listing Lookout button in Chrome's toolbar on that page. That click gives it Chrome's “active tab” access to that one tab, and it then reads the page once, the same way: the address, price, listing agent's name, license number and brokerage, and the description. Phone numbers and emails on the page are never sent anywhere. It cannot see other tabs, and it loses the access when you leave the page.
It reads nothing on other pages and nothing from other tabs. It does not read your messages, your account, cookies or browsing history.
When there is no listing to read, you can type an agent's name, license number and state, or an address, into the side panel yourself.
What it sends, and to whom
| Sent to | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| swiftagentsites.com | The listing agent's name, state, license number and brokerage, as the listing shows them, or the name, license number and state you type into the agent search | To look the agent up in the state's published license file and show the result |
| floodfirecheck.com | The listing's street address (only when the page shows one), city, state and map coordinates, or the street, city, state and ZIP code you type into the address check | To show the flood zone, flood and fire figures, evacuation zone and the neighborhood guide links |
| The listing site's own image server (Zillow, Craigslist and the Facebook beta only) | A request for the first 256 KB of each listing photo, without cookies | To read the photo's metadata for AI and editing tags, in your browser |
Nothing else leaves your browser: not the page address, not the description, not the photos, and nothing that identifies you. The photo check happens entirely inside the extension; photos are never uploaded.
What we keep
- Each answer is cached by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for up to a day, keyed by the question (for example the agent's name and state, or the address), so the same listing does not trigger the same lookup twice. The cache does not record who asked.
- To stop abuse, the services count requests per IP address for up to an hour, then the counts expire.
- Our hosting provider keeps request logs for swiftagentsites.com for a few days for troubleshooting; these can include the question asked. We do not use them for anything else.
- We do not build profiles, and we do not combine these requests with anything else we hold.
What stays on your computer
Homes you save, your monthly-cost assumptions, your language choice and which sites are switched on are kept in Chrome's storage on your computer (site switches sync with your Chrome profile if you use Chrome sync). The listing the side panel is showing is kept in memory for that tab only and is gone when you close the browser. Delete saved homes at any time from the Saved tab; removing the extension removes everything.
What we never do
- Sell or rent data, or share it with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.
- Use it for advertising, personalized or otherwise, or to decide creditworthiness or lending.
- Let a person read it, except when you ask us for help or the law requires it.
The use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Links and sponsored results
The side panel links to official license lookups, FEMA and FloodFireCheck (which we also run), and to Swift Agent Sites' mover check. A link marked “Sponsored”, such as a flood insurance quote request, leads to a paid listing or a licensed agent who pays for requests; what happens on those pages is covered by their own terms and privacy notices. The extension adds nothing to the listing sites' pages.
Children
Listing Lookout is for adults looking for a home and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and a change in what the extension sends will come with an extension update that says so.
