Who I build for
Websites for Independent Consultants
When somebody is deciding whether to hire you, they look you up. This is the site they find: what you do, who you have done it for, and a way to get an hour in your calendar — on your own domain, usually live the same day.
Swift Agent Sites is one person: I’m James Brazil, I build every site myself, and you can text me at (240) 284-3206.
Three things, done properly
A consultant’s site has one job and it is not to be impressive. It is to answer the question somebody already has about you before they email.
What you actually do
Services written as engagements rather than adjectives — what the work is, how long it takes, what somebody gets at the end. We will help write them; most people find this the hardest page and it is the one that converts.
Case studies
The work, the constraint, what changed. Anonymised where the client requires it, which is most of the time. These are what somebody reads before deciding you are worth an hour.
A booking link
Your own calendar embedded, so an interested reader books a call instead of composing an email and never sending it. Or a contact form that reaches you instantly, if you would rather screen first.
Yours, and portable
On your own domain, in your name. Change any of it yourself from the dashboard, and if you ever leave the domain goes with you — there is no release fee and nothing to negotiate.
A real one
A worked example of the template, and one live client site with a real business behind it. Everything on Plumb is invented, and we would rather say so.
Plumb
A full practice site: three engagements with their shapes and prices on the page, two case studies written as constraint and result, and a bookable hour. Every price, client and result on it is invented.
Live client siteYucatan.land — the case study
What the client needed, what we built, and what it is doing now. A real estate business rather than a consultancy, but the structure is the one described above: services, proof, a way to get in touch.
Template demoEvery template
The starting points, with invented details in them. Yours is adapted from whichever fits closest — the type, the colors and the sections all change.
Questions
Do I own the site?
You own the domain and your content outright, and you can take both anywhere. The underlying platform is ours and the subscription buys access to it — the same arrangement as any hosted website product. We say this plainly because some builders do not.
Can I make changes myself?
Yes, all of them, from the dashboard: your bio, your services, a new case study, your photographs. No developer and no waiting. Send it to us instead if you prefer; we do not bill for it.
What do you do about SEO?
The basics, properly: clean markup, a sensible URL per page, fast loading, titles and descriptions you can edit, a sitemap, and https. What we will not do is promise you a ranking — nobody can, and anybody who does is guessing. Ranking for your own name is realistic; ranking for a competitive term takes content and time.
What happens if I cancel?
The site comes down at the end of the period you have paid for and the domain stays yours. No contract, no minimum term, no release fee.
See it before you pay for it
We will build the preview around your name, your field and your actual work, and send you the link. Free, no card, no call — and if it is not right it expires on its own.
